Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Jon Alexander Alter who was born in Kansas on January 03, 1991 and received his wings on July 11, 2006 at the age of 15. We will remember him forever and love him forever. Please light a candle if you stop by.  They are greatly appreciated and help me, his mom, to know he will always be remembered. He was always one to make people laugh.  He gave his love freely and wanted it freely in return.  He loved football and had been playing since the age of 6.  He loved to wrestle too.  He had hopes of going to Iowa State to wrestle as a cyclone.  He wanted to be a lawyer when he grew up so that he could help people.  He was dearly loved by family and lots of friends.  He is now our guardian angel and is watching over us. Jon died by suicide.  He was depressed for a long time and hid it well.  He did open up about it to his doctor.  He suggested Jon be placed on anti-depressants but Jon was living w/ his father and against medical advise refused to allow Jon to take the life saving medicine.  He also kicked Jon out of his house 45 days before he died and told him he was a bad influence on his siblings in Ne and too much trouble for the family.  He never talked to Jon again after that.  Please don't let that happen to you or someone you love.  It is very hard for me to write that but if it could help someone else than I will do it.  We also had Jon's eyes, heart valves, and other tissue donated.  My son's heart valve saved the life of a 8 yr old little boy.  With my gift of life someone else doesn't have to mourn their child.  So please consider organ donation.

His legacy
My beloved Jonnyboy

Jon was loved by all, but didn't know it.  He was crazy funny, a big joker, he loved football and wrestling.  He even aspired to wrestle at Iowa State.  He was going to get a degree in law.  He was known to dance around crazy to "I'm too Sexy" by Right Said Fred.  He was a ladies man too.  In seventh grade he wrote a book called Chic Magnet.  He was the one who would instigate a lot of mishchif ie tee peeing the neighbors yard.  He brought so much joy and laughter to my house which is sorely going to be missed.  He was a honor student and studied German with hopes of one day going to Germany.  He has 3 little sisters who loved him very much and will miss him terribly.  His heart was sick though and we didn't know.  He told noone of his pain and so it got worse.  Just knowing him or being around him you would have never guessed his heart was breaking. On July 11,2006 he had had all the heart break he could handle so he ended his suffering and started ours.  He is missed by so many, but through those who loved him he will live on.
